Right amongst campaign launches and record breaking camel treks. Skin Check Champions we’re honoured to have helped one of our corporate partners win a top eight position in the illustrious AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies Awards. And raising this phenomenal bar in the #HealthCare category was none other than ol’mate SPOT.
Here’s what our corporate partner wrote: We are delighted to have been recognised as number 8 on the AFR BOSS Most Innovative Healthcare Companies List
The innovation award submissions are judged by Inventium and independent judges on a number of factors: a submission that looks at our internal innovation program, an example of a specific innovation project, plus an internal employee survey that enables our people to rate how we are doing.
This year for our innovative project, we were proud to put forward SPOT, an example of partnering with an innovative patient organisiation. Co-created by an action group spearheaded by SCOTT JOHN MAGGS from Skin Check Champions, SPOT is a digital assistant designed to help save you and your friends from skin cancer and melanoma.
Australia has the highest incidence of melanoma worldwide. While awareness campaigns have helped, many Australians are still diagnosed with later stage disease that has spread.
SPOT was developed to bridge the gap between awareness and action by helping you book a skin check, turn up on time, teach you about skin cancer, early detection and how to be more sun safe. SPOT can also assess your skin cancer risk and provide you with pathways depending on your results. It works on Facebook (Meta) Messenger (who assisted with the project), and accesses the database of the National Health Services Directory, connecting you to local GPs, Skin Cancer Clinics & Dermatologists.
We’d also like to congratulate the other innovative companies recognised across all industry top ten lists – there were so many impressive innovations that have us inspired thinking about what is next.
